{"id":7354,"date":"2019-07-22T10:13:31","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T10:13:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chenoafund.org\/?p=7354"},"modified":"2024-06-21T11:58:26","modified_gmt":"2024-06-21T11:58:26","slug":"native-american-organizations-denounce-mortgagee-letter-19-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chenoafund.org\/native-american-organizations-denounce-mortgagee-letter-19-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Native American Organizations Denounce Mortgagee Letter 19-6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chenoa Fund receives National support from three Native American organizations denouncing Mortgagee Letter 19-06:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC).<\/strong> Mission is to effectively and efficiently promote and support American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians in their self-determined goals to provide culturally relevant and quality affordable housing for native people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>National Congress American Indians (NCAI).<\/strong> Established in 1944 in response to the termination and assimilation policies the US government forced upon tribal governments in contradiction of their treaty rights and status as sovereign nations.
